Dean Savage is a qualified diver and skipper with more than 30 years’ commercial diving experience, and your host in the water during your visit to Dive Tatapouri.
He has spent the best part of 20 years diving at some of the East Coast’s most stunning dive spots, and will happily take you on a tour of one of his favourites – the Aerial Reef.
Dean has also been an underwater cameraman for New Zealand’s Tangaroa with Pio TV show for the past 10 years, and has filmed in exotic locations all over New Zealand, the Pacific and Chile.
His underwater footage of local and international dive spots and tourist attractions has been featured on several award-winning documentaries and showcased these areas to the world.
Chris Savage is a born and bred Gisborne girl and your hostess on the land at Dive Tatapouri.
She takes care of bookings, catering, travel arrangements, and any other special requirements you may have during your visit – all with the same friendly, easygoing nature this region is famous for.
In addition to managing Dive Tatapouri, Chris plays an integral role in the local tourism industry and is currently serving on the Tourism Eastland Executive Board.
